This is what caused Himiko to be separated from people she loves such as with Izuku the boy she is crushing on not just separated due to her standing as a villain but her own behavior which averts him from her she’s separated from Izuku and the people she loved. She wants to get close to others but she can’t because of her twisted sense of love and actions to others averts them from her. This is not because of her fascination with the blood but her way of loving others can never really allow her to get close to them is what caused most of Himiko’s separation.

She was never being herself and she can never be herself that was why there was always a gap between them none of her friends, teachers and other people don’t know her true self she feels separated by others she can never truly get close to him because she was never her true self hiding her true self was her personality which caused her to be separated from others her separation is because of how others perceived Himiko and how her true self would never be accepted by others hence her separation. She’s never close to her parents since they never accepted her behavior and forced to suppress it and despite being surrounded by many friends she feels a gap between them and herself. The gap between herself and society is because of her abnormal tendencies in blood. Her interest in the blood is what caused her to be separated from others in society and called crazy just when she acted like herself. Himiko’s separation is on how she herself is separated by others there was always considered gap between herself and other people because of her fascination with blood. Separation has a lot to do with Himiko in the backstory but her as a person. the forbidden aspect is her fascination in the blood something that factored into her causing her to be separated from other people When Himiko loves someone she sucks their blood to her sucking blood is equivalent to kissing someone it’s a way to show her love to others Himiko’s twisted actions are her way of expressing love. Forbidden love, tragedy, and separation are connected to her character and backstoryįirst, forbidden love refers to Himiko’s entire behavior, seen when she fell in love with Saito after seeing him bloody and bruised, Ochaco after she attacked her and Izuku when she saw him beat up. There’s a lot of symbolism with the myth that harkens to her backstory I would like to point out which are closely linked. Besides the romantic love aspect, the myth is associated with forbidden love, tragedy and separation are themes associated with the myth also Himiko’s backstory as well. This applies to Himiko’s backstory on its main basis.

This is a deliberate choice made by Horikoshi the entire myth goes hand in hand with Himiko’s backstory. Thus, the lovers had to be separated, except on one day of the year.” The Japanese version of the myth Tanabata which its held on July 7th in the Gregorian calendar has the similar narration “the weaver girl was betrothed to the cowherd, but they fell so in love that she stopped weaving and he stopped caring for his cows. They were never to meet again, except on the 7th day of the 7th month (of the lunar calendar) when a flock of magpies would form a bridge for them so that they could be together one day out of the year.” The cowherd tried to chase her and was blocked by the formation of Milky Way, a river that he couldn’t cross. Qixi myth goes like this, “The weaver girl was divinity, but the cowherd was mortal, so their union was not approved by the heavens and she was eventually summoned back to the skies. Next to her birthday August 7th the date August 7th itself doesn’t mean anything in Japanese but in Chinese it’s the date Qixi a Chinese day for couples similarly based on the myth the cowherd and the weaver girl an Asian story of forbidden love, Himiko didn’t dress up as a high schooler as a disguise but she is, in fact, is one in her entire design. In Japan, 17 is the age of high schoolers which shouldn’t be all that surprising since Himiko’s design is an actual high schooler like her design suggests. Let’s begin with her age people complained about her age when it came out this shouldn’t come as a surprise at all because Himiko is a high schooler it’s already been started during her introduction. Time for Himiko’s Bio, who’s one of my favorite characters in BNHA which I always wanted to talk about now that I have an opportunity to discuss her bio the timeing feels right.
